The Twins’ First Christmas

To My Beautiful Child

2 Jan

We can’t believe how much has changed in one short year! We had a great first Christmas with our sweet babies. I’m an amateur at making videos, but this is my first one of Harris and Goldie’s first Christmas. We sure love these babies and the joy they have brought with them! Last year at Christmas we had done IVF but I didn’t know that I was pregnant yet. The past year has brought me the two greatest gifts I have ever known, along with the hardest physical marathon of my life in carrying them. I’m excited to see what 2017 brings. I can’t blink because they are growing SO FAST!

I just stumbled on your page on ig. Omg I’m in love without your babies, they’re so cute.
I just read all of your post ans so happy you’ve got your happy ending.
My husband and I have been married for 3yrs and we’v been trying to conceive for some time now. We’re just realizing we might need to go to an infertility clinic.
Reading this really helped. But I have a question though. How much is a round of a ivf? Iui?
What kind of insurance are we going to need? What percentage of the bill are they going to pay?
Lots of questions I know, but I’m freaking out

You are so kind; thank you!

Unfortunately I can’t answer any of those questions for you because it varies by insurance, state and even fertility clinic. You’ll have to ask those providers directly for you.

I’m wishing you all the very best! xo

  • We were in the car driving today playing “I Spy.” Goldie kept looking at an ornament in her hand she had created and listing all of the colors on it, but when we guessed that her ornament was the object she spied, she kept telling us no. Finally, Harris guessed her ornament again and she said, “Yes!” I said, “Goldie, I already guessed that a few times!” She replied with, “You guys are horrible at this game!!!!” as she shook with rage Then... Goldie: “I’m going to play I Spy by myself!! I spy with my little eye something blue!”
  • There have been moments, weeks and years in motherhood raising these two that I legitimately thought I might not make it. Exhausted, pure chaos 99% of the time. Figuring it out as I went and learning more than I wanted to in such a short about of time. Wondering if I would EVER get enough sleep again and making hypothetical escape plans to go to a hotel by myself in the middle of the night to just get some uninterrupted sleep. A woman gets desperate!! I had a moment in the car today where I just honestly COULD NOT BELIEVE
  • Why do we insist on fighting so hard for our limitations? “Oh, I’m not good at that! I promise!” “I’m so bad at ____” Someone gives us a compliment and, “Thank you! But ______ (fill in the blank to point out why they’re wrong and how you have so much further to go). STOP IT! You are a GIFT to this world and have SO MUCH TO GIVE. There are things that you can do that ONLY you can do. Stop people pleasing. You shining like the beautiful human that you are does not take away anything that anyone else
  • Walking into date night tonight like wahoo!!!!! Are you a weekend date night couple or a weekday date night couple? We are actually thinking week days might be wayyy less crowded everywhere. We might try it a few times! But then again it’s nice to have something to look forward to on the weekend, too (Outfit linked: http://liketk.it/35AYv #liketkit @liketoknow.it app asliceofstyle) #datenight
  • My family wanted to get some fresh air today with a walk and bike ride outside (32 degrees but still we do what we can in Utah!) and I ALMOST said, “you go without me...I need to clean this messy house up!” Then I remembered something I learned and committed to. I want my actions to reflect my priorities. In 14 years when my kids move out, will I be SO glad that I cleaned the house first? Not if it means missing out on a fun family adventure. My kids are 4 ONCE. I have this rule in my
  • What is the one thing you remember most from your wedding day? I remember walking into the room that we got married in and seeing almost everyone I loved all in one place, smiling at us. I loved all of the stunning details of the reception, the food, the dancing and the beauty…but it’s the overwhelming feeling of love I got from thinking, “These people are all here for us. What a tribe.” My sister @jocelynstimpson’s dress is from @thebridesshop and they generously agreed to give you $150 off accessories if you or your people buy your dress from their
  • After my Epstein-Barr health issues and fighting for my energy last year I am now HYPER conscious of what I put in my body. I am a HUGE cheerleader of brands who actually CARE what goes into our bodies and have developed foods that are GOOD for us. We apparently don’t smile with our eyes but I PROMISE you we are happy and smiling about @jojoschocolatebark now being offered at even more Costco locations! NEW locations: California, Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri & Wisconsin (200+ Total)! Why I LOVE Jojo’s
  • One of my favorite people on this planet had her 30th birthday today! She is an incredible mother, an incredible entrepreneur, an incredible friend and such a beautiful human both inside and out. I learn from her and am blessed by her example every day! I love you @rachparcell!! Happy birthday!!
