My tips on how to get ready fast while still feeling pulled together and beautiful!
Despite our great efforts, we all have those times where we have to get ready quickly. We can either get ready fast and look frumpy and feel frazzled, or we can use these tips I’m sharing in this blog post to look more polished and pulled together. I started doing these things a few years ago instead of just throwing up my hair in top knot and wearing joggers I didn’t love, and they have made all of the difference in the productivity of my day and how I feel! Some days are crazy, buy you don’t have to look disheveled. Here are my tips.
how to get ready fast
- The hair oil that I use is a game changer. I use it on Goldie’s hair in the mornings to smooth the frizz (I put her hair in a braid at night after bathing her and then take the braid out in the morning). If you put your hair up in a ponytail when your normally don’t, or you put your hair in a bun only when you are rushing out the door, it’s going to feel like you are frazzled. Brush you hair, leave it down (and add a ball cap if wanted) and put this hair oil on the ends.
- This is my favorite ball cap of all time. I’ll leave my hair down and then add the ball cap. It fits well, goes with almost my whole wardrobe because I like to buy almost all items in the same colors because they are easy to match, and it’s in style.
- Even if you aren’t doing full makeup, lip gloss goes a long way. This is my favorite kind! Get the “pink champagne” color. It’s plumping and I’ve been using it for years.
- I love this Tula blurring and tinting primer; it is PERFECT! It basically gives you a filter, like on Instagram and takes the edge off if you will 😉 The lip gloss + primer are the perfect combo for a getting ready quickly day.
- Have a go-to uniform so you don’t have to think about what to wear. Mine is a tee, jeans and sneakers, with an added cardigan or coat if it’s cold. If you don’t have these $8 tees here yet, you need them! I wear them at least 3x every week. Nike Jordan’s are my go-to sneaker. I LOVE this neutral pair that go with anything!
