It’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and GUESS WHO’S EXCITED?!! I’ve been shopping this sale for years so I’m an expert in what’s worth buying and what’s not, and I always make sure to get all of the sizing info for you so that you know what size to order and save hours of your life to prevent returns. NSale Haul: what I Bought During Early Access
First, let’s start with what I actually bought and brought home from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I was really picky this year, because last year I got a little carried away and ended up with a few items that I’ve only worn once. There were a few things that were important to me this year, and buying great basics that I knew I would wear over and over again was important. I made sure the fit was right and that they would go with lots of different outfits because heaven knows mama doesn’t have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings. Here’s what I bought!

- THIS COAT! I’ve been looking for a comfortable coat that I can dress up or down to wear with my church clothes for YEARS and this is the one!! It’s SO pretty, comfortable, can be worn over dresses and skirts, but also with jeans. It’s true to size and I’m wearing a small.
- THESE BOOTS are what my dreams are made of. The perfect boot that fits super well and doesn’t squeeze my toes too much. I’m in love. These Madwell boots also come in black. They are true to size; I’m wearing a 9.5!

3. THIS CARDIGAN is going to be worn by me over and over and over again this winter!! It’s so soft and cozy, and I love a loose cardigan that I can throw on over a tee shirt or other tops. It’s true to size, I’m wearing a small.
4. THIS TEE is a really great basic tee and only $11. Order true to size, I’m wearing a medium because it was the only size in stock in the store but a small would have been better.

5. My mom and I both got THIS LEOPARD CARDIGAN because it’s unreal soft and cozy and the perfect layering piece for fall! True to size, I’m wearing a small.
6. THESE SANDALS are my favorite sandals of the whole sale!! They fit my feet SO WELL, they are comfortable, and they are true to size! I love that I can dress them up or down.
7. THESE JEANS are one of the two pair that I got! They are SO COMFORTABLE!! I’m all about jeans that fit well and are comfortable but are also super flattering. This is one of my favorite denim brands and rise is a perfect, comfortable height. They are true to size; I’m wearing a size 27. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the one time each year that I buy designer denim!

8. THIS LONG SLEEVE TEE is the perfect casual long sleeve tee. It also comes in leopard and grey stars print! I’m wearing a small. It’s REALLY soft and comfortable. The Web site says to order a size down but I would NOT recommend that.
9. I tried on THESE SLIPPERS and didn’t want to take them off!!! I’m not kidding when I say that they feel like you’re walking on clouds. They envelope your feet in this most comfortable hug and I feel so good about it!! They are true to size. They come in 5 colors. These will FOR SURE sell out before early access ends!

10. THIS HAT is incredibly comfortable. I’m very picky with my hats because a lot of them give me headaches, but this hat did not!! It also comes in a cream color and I LOVE it paired with all of these fall outfits. I’m wearing a small. I would measure your head before you order to make sure you get the right fit!
11. THIS CARDIGAN is what cozy. soft dreams are made of! You can also buy it in solid color HERE. It runs big, so order one size down. I’m wearing an XS. My mom also loved it so much that she got it!

12. THESE JEANS are the other pair that I bought because they are SO comfortable the PERFECT height for booties. Jeans can be hard to pair with booties because they can look awkward when they are too close to the bootie, and this cropped jean is the perfect height. They run big so order ONE SIZE DOWN.

13. Say yes to this comfortable jogger outfit!! THIS TOP and THESE JOGGERS are CRAZY comfortable and soft!!! They also come in SHORTS, too. I’m also going to order the pink camo pair and I want the leopard set, too!! I can’t get enough fun jogger sets lately. I like to be cute at home, even when it’s just me!

14. THIS MADEWELL TOP is super flattering and easy to throw on and go! I love it. It runs REALLY big, though! Order 2 sizes down. I’m wearing and XXS and it’s still nice and loose.
15. I didn’t end up getting THESE JEANS because they don’t have a ton of stretch to them, but if you get them, order 2 sizes up!
16. I also didn’t end up getting these MARC FISHER FLATS, but I like them a lot! I just don’t need more flats but I think they’re pretty and come in TONS of colors! They are true to size.

17. If I remember right, THIS FLEECE PULLOVER sold out on the first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access and never came back in stock for the whole sale! It is SUPER warm and SUPER cozy!! It has fleece on the INSIDE, too. A lot of these types of pullovers don’t! It’s true to size with a loose and comfy fit. I’m wearing a small.
18. THESE CONVERSE are SO comfortable!! I have had them in red for a few years and they are so easy to slide on, they stay on your feet, you don’t have to tie the laces, and they have a new sole that is padded!! They’re only $39.90 on the sale, true to size, come in pink and WILL sell out!

19. This URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHT SETTING SPRAY is such a great deal!! I use this EVERY single day to set my makeup and it really, really makes a difference. This is one to stock up on!

One of my favorite quotes (and my personal motto this year) is Gordon B. Hinckley’s “Try a little harder to be a little better.” This can apply to so many aspects of my life, but I’ve been having to remind myself of this every day as I’m in the midst of raising toddlers so I remember that no one is perfect and that I’m doing OK and I can always do better tomorrow. That way I don’t feel like a failure when I go to bed each night 🙂
Not sure that this is really a quote but it’s something I try to live by. “There is more to me than what you see.” It reminds me to not judge others and when I’m judged by others it helps me to realize that if they truly knew who I was they would probably not judge so hard. We are all made up of different experiences, trials, and ways of thinking. I’ve found the more I get to know a person the more I more often than not come to love that person. So I’ve really focused on giving others the benefit of the doubt and remember “there is more to me than what you see.”
