20 Week Ultrasound for our Twins!

To My Beautiful Child· Twin Pregnancy

15 Apr

To my beautiful children,

We did the 20 week ultrasound today at the doctor’s office and it was amazing to see our little darlings moving around like crazy! Two Sundays ago I started feeling you move and you basically haven’t stopped since. It’s so much fun to feel those movements in my stomach. I wake up and literally every single day now, my tummy is bigger. You are growing so fast and mama is just so proud of your little bodies.

Your Grammy and Grandma came to our ultrasound today too and it was so much fun to have them there! It was absolutely incredible to see inside your hearts. They look perfect and were pumping just as they should be. We could see all 4 chambers. We saw your arms, your abdomens, your lips, your spines and your brains as well as the other parts of your bodies. Everything looked amazing! I can tell that you are going to be so smart. I was relieved to see that we are still having one boy and one girl 🙂

Baby A, our boy, is laying upside down with his head toward the ground and Baby B (Goldie!) is lounging sideways. It’s hilarious to see you both wiggling around in there. Our ultrasound technician, who happens to be the doctor’s daughter, was so cute and sweet. She kept saying that you were her favorite babies and that she loved your “silver and gold” story. I think you’ve won another one’s heart, little ones! She really was so sweet and excited for us. We have some ideas for silver’s name, but we have decided on Goldie for gold’s name. I mean…you heart is as good as gold. You shine like gold. You are more precious than gold. Eh? Eh? Mama is on a roll. And I’m pretty sure people just stopped reading this…

Anywho, my appetite has really started to kick in this week. Pretty much any food that anyone mentions sounds absolutely delicious. Chik Fil A? Yum. Onion rings? Gotta have ’em. Oh, did someone say cheeseburgers? Yes, please. On Saturday night after your daddy and I had dinner, I stopped at 7 Eleven to get a slurpee, and the movie theater to get regular popcorn and kettle corn. Yes, I bought both kinds. When I got back in the car, I tried to hide the kettle corn from your dad to no avail. He looked back when I opened the back seat door to put it in. I thought I might get to slide it past him. He was shaking his head and laughing. It’s SO good. I posted a video of the situation below because it was hilarious. I mean, it’s not like me to have to get 3 treats in one sitting. Normally I’m fine with one. I guess if you think about it, it totally makes sense. Goldie wanted the slurpee, silver wanted the popcorn, and mama wanted the kettle corn. I feel so much better after looking at it that way, what a relief!

Today after work, I stopped at the Italian Place to get a hot turkey ‘n everything sandwich…and also stopped at the Purple Turtle to get onion rings. The best part is that I paid in cash so it was untraceable. I mean…who stops at two fast food places? Not me. Just look at my credit card statement. I would never do that.

We sure you love you our precious babies! It was so good to see how healthy and perfect you looked today. Keep growing. Mama will keep feeding you…trust me 🙂

xo

Here is the little video I made from Saturday night ha ha…

Guilty!

Super flattering angle of the bump on Sunday…
Yes, these jeans are still what pregnancy dreams are made of. In case you were wondering…

I wasn’t feeling well on Saturday so your daddy made me some heart shaped pancakes! He’s the best.
Here are some of our ultrasounds from today! If you squint, cross your eyes, and turn around 3 times, you might be able to see what’s going on in some of them…

I second this! I love how you are using Goldie for baby girl's name and think that Sterling is the perfect match to it for baby boy!

"I mean…who stops at two fast food places?" I once stopped for a cheeseburger while I was on my way home with pizza. And yes, I still ate the pizza with my family. I couldn't let them find out about my shame burger!

Congratulations on the little ones. You will be a wonderful mother.
