I love going to baby showers because the anticipation of meeting a new tiny person soon is so much fun. What’s better than snuggling a new baby? I was so fortunate to have incredible friends and family throw me some beautiful baby showers just before and just after Harris and Goldie were born. They came so suddenly at 32 weeks that we had to reschedule a baby shower that was supposed to be on the day after they were actually born! • I LOVED getting board books when I had my baby showers. I have always loved reading and I knew that I wanted to instill a love of reading to my children, but it wasn’t until my toddlers starting tearing out the pages of regular books that I came to really appreciate the board books that I had been given at my baby showers. Nordstrom has the cutest board books to choose from! I like to put the books away every few weeks, then bring them back out so my kids are excited to read them again like they are new. I was surprised that at even a couple months old, they LOVED to look at the bright, colorful pictures! It would calm them down when they were fussy.

• These Wubbanub pacifier toys were the BEST when my kids were little! It’s hard for tiny newborns to hold in their binky sometimes, so I was able to rest the animal on top of their chests and it helped them keep their binkies in! • Soft little burp cloths were another favorite item that I got at my baby showers and that were used the most when my babies were little! I loved the super soft burp cloths like this one because Harris and Goldie’s little faces rested on them on my shoulder, so I wanted to make sure they were comfortable. Nordstrom has the cutest options, too!! I love that you can choose your own style even when it comes to something as simple as a burp cloth. I LOVE these little rainbows and unicorns!

Another great option if you’re short on time is a Nordstrom gift card. I LOVE getting gift cards! It was a lot of fun to pick things out myself after my baby showers. If your Nordstrom is close by, choose the pick up in store option at checkout so you don’t have wait for shipping. I use this option all the time! It’s so nice to have it ready for you, and you can even call and have them bring it to your car curbside if you have your kids with you and don’t want to get out of your car, or even if you don’t and you’re just really, really busy!
