Next up is Jackie from Little J Style. Jackie is so pretty, and not just on the outside. We met through social media initially and then she gave me a big hug when we met in person like we were reunited friends. That’s my kinda girl! She has absolutely impeccable style, and you’ll not only want her gorgeous long legs, but every piece of clothing she features too. I like to follow her to get great outfit inspiration because she has the best taste.
How did Jackie answer my questions? Keep reading 🙂
Why did you start your blog or Web site?
I always wanted to share my personal style with others and try to help girls figure out what would look best on them so they can feel good about themselves. I wanted to post my outfits to help inspire others to figure out what they could put together from their own closets, and also post style guides and advice that might benefit my readers! A blog seemed like a great way to do that.
What keeps you motivated?
I love hitting new milestones and reaching goals I set for myself. I’ll always be interested in fashion, so that keeps me motivated because I am always thinking of new outfit ideas, but it really is motivational to see others reading my blog and following along with me. Whenever anyone tells me I’ve helped them figure out some new ways they can style themselves, it makes me feel good because I know when people look good on the outside, they feel good on the inside!
What is your favorite quote, and why?
“If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?” (anonymous) I really love this one because as a blogger it is really easy to get caught up in the fashion world, caring too much about outfits and brands and shoes and whatnot. The important thing is to feel good about yourself and help others! So I never want to take myself or my blog too seriously.
What is one piece of advice you wish you could give to your past self back when you started your blog?
I wish I could tell me not to be so hard on myself! There is a learning curve NO matter what you do. You have to learn photography, you have to learn how to pose, you have to learn what clothing looks best on camera and what doesnot. It is a learning process and I would get down on myself that I wasn’t amazing at it from the beginning! Also I would tell myself to hire a photographer, my early outfit photos were prettttyyyy bad. 🙂
Thank you so much, Jackie!
