LUXURY FOR LESS GUIDE: Holiday Decor Clutter Solutions
Finding some really cute seasonal items is so much fun! But what do you do with it all after the season is over? If you are like me, not only do you have decorations, but festive plates, cups, and different kinds of accessories. Let’s dive into how we can still use those cute things when in season, but not hang around for the whole year!
Tip 1: Label Storage Bins for specific holidays
- I have found it’s so much easier to find and store all my seasonal decor if I have the storage boxes clearly labeled.
Tip 2: Store the seasonal dishes!
- I found that not only putting away the seasonal decor helps simplify the clutter, but also including specific seasonal plates, cups, and anything else you use only specifically for that season.
Keeping all your holiday items organized makes it so much more simple to reuse year after year! It has definitely made it easier for me to enjoy that luxury lifestyle because I’m not worrying about the clutter.
One of the simplest ways to keep track of seasonal items you use over and over again is to have a place for them!
I love these storage containers that are more flat, stackable and easy to see through. It’s better to have smaller amount of decor in a variety of containers than to just fill it all into a giant one.
Using a label maker makes it SO simple to identify what the items are inside the container.
I love different seasonal wreaths. Instead of smashing them into a box, I love having them hung up so it’s easy to find, easy to grab, and keeps the wreath in really great condition!
Some items will be bigger and may need a larger storage container. I love these ones.
I love seasonal dish ware, like these mugs, and cook ware, but I don’t love having it sit in my cupboards all year long. My best tip is to store all the seasonal kitchen items in storage boxes as well! It keeps them nice year after year and you look forward to using them again!
I love decorating for the different seasons, but I also love having a clutter-free home! Hopefully this helps give you some ideas how you can be budget conscious by reusing decor over and over again. I hope you also feel more luxurious by making a simple system for decorating and storing away so you have more time to enjoy the seasons as they come!
