When Harris and Goldie were born so early and so suddenly, our lives were quite crazy for a few weeks. I was healing from delivering two babies and from preeclampia which is painful and difficult, and I was pumping every few hours to bring milk to the hospital for the twins in the NICU, and spending hours each day in the NICU with them. I received the most beautiful and unexpected package in the mail from Saranoni while Harris and Goldie were still in the NICU that contained two tiny baby blankets with their names embroidered on each of them. It was such a special and personalized gift and still means so much to me.
These little baby blankets have since turned into their most prized possessions. These blankets comfort them when they are feeling sad or if they fall down, and they are their comfort objects that they need to fall asleep. You should hear Harris’ little content giggle as soon as I give him his blankie! They are SO happy when they have their blankies. Harris went through a phase that just ended yesterday where he switched from calling it his “blankie” to his “bib-ick.” Ha! I don’t know where he got that from.
My babies first got the mini size, and they are the perfect size to cuddle up to their faces. One of my favorite things is to put the blanket on my shoulder as I pick them up for nap time or bed time and they always, without fail, rest their sweet little heads on my shoulder with their blanket. The mini size if amazing! And wanna know a big secret? I am 31-years-old and I still sleep with my baby blanket that my grandma made for me. It still brings me comfort when I’m feeling sad. It is literally see-through (the other half ripped off ha ha), but it’s been with me for 31 years and I love it. It’s such an easy way to bring comfort. They recently got the receiving sized blankets (also pictured above) and they are the perfect cozy addition.
They are SO cuddly and come in adult sizes as well! Click here for all extra large big-people-sized blankets, and here for home throws.

Where did you get the cover for the fire place hearth? We have a stone fire place and a new baby coming soon. When our first baby was small enough to need a cover, we hadn’t re-done our fireplace yet, so we didn’t really care if what we put on it ruined the hearth.

Hey girl! I had it custom made by a woman named Katie here in Utah. Her number is 801-209-5531. She’s awesome!
